Exciting New Govee Recessed Lights and Tips for Smart Home Integration

I’m really excited about the new Govee recessed lights! They’ve been on my wish list for a while, and now I’m determined to convince my wife to let me install 8-10 of them in our home. The sleek design and smart features are a perfect match for our modern setup.

While I’m planning my smart home upgrades, I’ve also been exploring ways to optimize my openHAB setup. One thing I’ve been curious about is whether the Z-Wave device database is tied to a specific openHAB release. Upgrading can be tricky, especially with dependencies like the GE nx584 Security Panel binding. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully navigated this upgrade process while maintaining compatibility with older bindings.

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with displaying data in my sitemap. For instance, my NAS shows free space in megabytes, and I’d love to convert that to gigabytes for easier reading. I’m hoping there’s a simple way to do this without diving too deep into rules or scripts.

If anyone has tips or tricks for these projects, I’d be happy to hear them! Let’s keep the smart home journey fun and productive.
