Exciting New Wyze Camera Tool: WyzeTimelapse

As a huge fan of Wyze cameras, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can enhance their functionality. I recently stumbled upon WyzeTimelapse, a fantastic new application developed by Sergei Dobrikov, and I wanted to share my experience with the community!

WyzeTimelapse is a game-changer for those who use Wyze cameras with SD card recording. It simplifies the process of previewing and creating timelapse videos from the numerous 1-minute files generated by Continuous Recording. Here’s what I love about it:

  • User-Friendly Interface: No complicated playlists or menus—just one button to load all recordings from the SD card.
  • Extreme Video Acceleration: It can speed up videos by up to 18,000 times, making it easy to create stunning timelapse videos.
  • Timestamp Option: You can add timestamps if you missed them initially, which is super handy for documenting events.

The app is currently available for Windows, Ubuntu, and Mac. While it’s hosted on Google Drive for now, the developer is actively seeking feedback for future improvements. I’ve been using it to create beautiful timelapse videos of my garden, and it’s been a breeze!

If you’re a Wyze camera enthusiast, I highly recommend giving WyzeTimelapse a try. It’s a fantastic way to make the most of your camera’s recording capabilities. Huge thanks to Sergei for creating such a helpful tool! :movie_camera::sparkles:
