I just wanted to share some exciting updates and tips about my recent smart home journey. It’s been such a blast exploring all the possibilities with my devices, and I thought I’d jot down some of my experiences and insights for those who might be interested or looking for inspiration. 
First off, I recently upgraded my lighting setup with some amazing Govee smart bulbs. They’ve completely transformed my space, and the color options are out of this world! 
I’ve been experimenting with different scenes and schedules, and it’s been a game-changer for creating the perfect ambiance. If you haven’t tried them yet, I highly recommend giving them a shot! 
On the automation front, I’ve been diving into Hue Motion Sensors and how they can be integrated into daily routines. Did you know you can set a Lux Threshold to control when the lights turn on or off based on ambient light? It’s super handy for saving energy and ensuring everything runs smoothly. I’ve set mine to 500 Lux, and it’s been working wonders for my hallway lighting! 
Another project I’ve been working on is setting up a motion-activated door lock. I’ve heard some concerns about using mobile presence to unlock doors, but I’m cautiously optimistic. After some research, I decided to pair it with a timer-based system to ensure security while still enjoying the convenience. It’s been a fun challenge, and I’ll definitely share more details once I’ve fine-tuned it! 
For those of you who love tinkering with code, I stumbled upon a cool MQTT automation script that allows you to send notifications to your phone when new devices are detected on your network. It’s a great way to keep track of everything and stay ahead of potential security issues. If anyone’s interested, I’d be happy to share the setup! 
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with custom UI automations to streamline my daily routines. For example, I created a simple button that turns off all the lights and locks the doors with a single press. It’s such a small thing, but it makes life so much easier!
