Exciting Updates with Wyze Cam Firmware 4.36.12.9357

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my experience after upgrading my Wyze Cam v3 to the latest firmware version, 4.36.12.9357. The update has brought some fantastic improvements that have really enhanced my smart home setup. First off, the addition of the Camera as Chime function is absolutely brilliant! It’s so handy to have my camera double as a doorbell, especially with guests or delivery people. The integration with the app makes it seamless to monitor who’s at the door without even having to get up.

Another highlight is the improved logging and device self-diagnostics. I’ve noticed that my camera is now more responsive and there are fewer glitches. The event video upload success rate has also gone up, which is a huge plus for reliability. No more missed moments or failed uploads!

I also appreciate the bug fixes in this update. It feels like Wyze is really listening to user feedback and continuously improving their products. Speaking of which, I do want to remind everyone that you’ll need to update the Wyze app to at least version 2.48 to fully enjoy these new features. Older app versions won’t connect with the updated firmware, so make sure you’re all up to date!

My personal experience with the update was smooth. I followed the instructions provided, restarted my camera, and everything synced up perfectly. It’s great to see how these updates not only fix issues but also add value to the existing functionality.

I’d love to hear from others who’ve upgraded—what’s your favorite new feature? Have you noticed any improvements in performance or reliability? Let’s keep the conversation going and share our experiences! :rocket:
