Hey everyone, I’ve been dealing with a rather frustrating issue on my system. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed an overwhelming number of timeouts, update failures, and warnings about updates taking over 10 seconds. Here’s a snippet of what I’m seeing in my logs:
Timeout during authorization 8:52 AM components/switch/broadlink.py (ERROR) - message first occured at March 20, 2019, 11:10 PM and shows up 1960 times
Update for alarm_control_panel.simplisafe fails 8:51 AM components/simplisafe/alarm_control_panel.py (ERROR) - message first occured at March 21, 2019, 11:18 AM and shows up 2450 times
Error doing job: Task exception was never retrieved 8:51 AM components/simplisafe/init.py (ERROR) - message first occured at March 21, 2019, 11:18 AM and shows up 2509 times
Updating broadlink switch took longer than the scheduled update interval 0:00:30 8:51 AM helpers/entity_platform.py (WARNING) - message first occured at March 20, 2019, 11:10 PM and shows up 1963 times
Update of switch.night_stand is taking over 10 seconds 8:51 AM main.py (WARNING) - message first occured at March 20, 2019, 11:09 PM and shows up 1954 times
This has really slowed down my system, and I’m concerned it might be the root cause of some of the lag I’ve been experiencing. I’ve checked the logs extensively, but I’m not getting much more information beyond what’s shown here.
Has anyone else encountered similar issues? I’d love to hear if there are any known fixes or workarounds for this problem. I’m hoping it’s something simple that I can adjust without having to do a full system reset. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
