Hello everyone! I’ve been using Aeotec Multisensors for quite some time now, ever since the days of the classic ST app. They’ve been a reliable part of my smart home setup, providing consistent performance across various environments. Recently, I decided to expand my setup by adding another Aeotec Multisensor, but I ran into an interesting challenge that I wanted to share and discuss with the community.
In the classic ST app, there was a handy “Refresh” tile that allowed me to send updated configuration settings directly to the sensor. This feature was incredibly useful for ensuring that all my sensors were operating with the latest settings. However, when I switched to the new app, I noticed that this option was missing. At first, I was a bit puzzled—how was I supposed to send configuration settings to my sensors now?
I started by exploring the new app’s interface, looking for any hidden menus or settings that might offer similar functionality. I also checked the help section and any available documentation, but nothing stood out immediately. This was a bit frustrating, as I wanted to make sure my new sensor was fully configured and integrated into my existing setup.
After some research and experimentation, I discovered that while the new app doesn’t have a dedicated “Refresh” tile, there are alternative methods to achieve the same goal. For instance, by navigating to the sensor’s detailed settings page, I found an option to manually update the configuration. It wasn’t as straightforward as the old “Refresh” tile, but it got the job done.
I also reached out to some fellow community members to see if they had encountered the same issue and how they had resolved it. Many of them shared similar experiences and had found workarounds or alternative methods within the new app. It was reassuring to know that others were navigating the same learning curve and that there were solutions available.
This experience has been a great opportunity to dive deeper into the new app’s features and functionalities. It’s also reminded me of the importance of community support in troubleshooting and finding innovative solutions. If anyone else has encountered this issue or has tips on optimizing the new app’s configuration process, I’d love to hear about it!
To sum it up, while the transition to the new app has presented some challenges, it’s also been a chance to explore new tools and techniques. I’m excited to continue refining my setup and discovering all the possibilities the new app has to offer. Happy smart home tinkering everyone! ![]()
