Exploring Camera Video History in Google Home

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home cameras lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all.

I recently purchased a Nest Cam Indoor (Wired), 2nd Gen, and I’m really impressed with its build quality and features. I’ve been using the Nest Aware Plus subscription, which offers 10 days of 24/7 video recording. However, I’ve been having a bit of trouble accessing the full video history. I’ve checked the Google Home app and even tried navigating through the web browser, but it seems like I’m only getting event-based clips. If there’s no detected motion, it just says “No event detected” for that time period. Is there something I’m missing, or is 24/7 history not supported for this model? Any insights would be super helpful!

On a more positive note, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with how seamlessly my other smart devices integrate with Google Home. It’s amazing how something as simple as setting up a smart light switch can completely transform the way I interact with my home. I’ve been using a combination of Google Nest and third-party devices, and the ecosystem has been surprisingly robust.

I’d love to hear from others who have successfully set up their own smart home systems. What challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them? Any tips or tricks for maximizing the potential of Google Home would be greatly appreciated!

Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most of our smart homes! :house_with_garden::movie_camera:
