From custom sensors to unique device integrations, the possibilities are endless. For instance, I recently stumbled upon the idea of using Govee products for Halloween decorations, like fog machines or themed lighting. It would be awesome if Govee expanded their product line to include more seasonal items, such as LED lights for skateboards or outdoor lamp posts. These ideas not only add a fun twist to home automation but also make everyday tasks more convenient.
On a different note, I’ve been experimenting with Home Assistant’s security features. I created a simple sensor to detect login failures on my system, which sends me a notification through Telegram. This proof of concept has been really helpful for keeping an eye on my system’s security. It’s a small but impactful way to enhance my smart home setup.
