Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and it’s been a fascinating journey. I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips for those of you who are also exploring the realm of cross-brand devices. 
First off, I’ve been using a mix of Nest, Govee, and Hubitat devices in my home, and it’s been quite the learning curve. One thing I’ve discovered is the importance of a solid MQTT setup. It’s amazing how much smoother everything runs when you have a reliable broker in place. I’ve been using Mosquitto on my Raspberry Pi, and it’s been a lifesaver for connecting devices from different ecosystems. 
Another tip I’d love to share is the use of Home Assistant for automating routines. I’ve set up a system where my Govee lights dim automatically when I turn off the Nest thermostat at night. It’s such a small touch, but it makes a huge difference in creating a seamless experience. 
I do have a question for the community, though. Has anyone successfully integrated Ring doorbell notifications with Amcrest cameras? I’m looking to streamline my security setup without overwhelming my toddler with constant alerts. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
