I recently installed the Danalock V3 smart lock and have been experimenting with integrating it into my Home Assistant setup. While the basics of locking and unlocking work seamlessly within HA, I’ve encountered a bit of a puzzle regarding the differentiation between unlocking and opening the door.
The lock has two modes: unlocking (rotating to the set open position) and opening (rotating further to fully release the latch). I’ve noticed that setting the hold and open value to greater than 1 results in the door being fully opened upon unlocking, which isn’t ideal for my morning routine automation. On the other hand, setting it to 0 only unlocks the door but disables the “hold and open” feature from the Danalock app.
I’m curious if others have found a workaround or setting that allows for both functionalities without compromising one. Any insights or tips from the community would be greatly appreciated!
Overall, I’m excited about the potential of this lock and look forward to refining its integration into my smart home setup. It’s been a fun challenge, and I’m hopeful that with the right configuration, I can achieve the smooth automation I’m aiming for.
