Exploring Device Tracking and Automation in Home Assistant

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been a fascinating journey! One of the things I’ve been most curious about is device tracking, especially with my BT Home Hub 4. I came across the Home Assistant integration for the BT Home Hub 5, which seems pretty robust, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work with my Hub 4. Does anyone know if there’s a workaround or a different platform that can achieve similar functionality for older models? I’d love to track devices more effectively without upgrading my hub just yet.

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with my Govee RGBIC lights. They’ve added such a vibrant touch to my home, and I’m really impressed with their versatility. However, I’m curious if others have explored more creative ways to integrate these lights into their routines or automations. I’d love to hear any tips or tricks!

Lastly, I wanted to share a small victory. After some trial and error, I managed to set up a more streamlined automation system for my Xiaomi Aqara switches. Using the action/choose syntax, I was able to consolidate multiple automations into one, which has made my setup much cleaner and easier to manage. It’s amazing how a bit of tweaking can make such a difference!

If anyone has tips on optimizing automations or suggestions for device tracking solutions, I’d be thrilled to hear them. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make our smart homes even smarter! :rocket:
