I’ve been diving into the world of smart thermostats lately and wanted to share my experiences and ask for some advice.
Currently, I’m using a Nest thermostat, which I’ve paired with the Flair app to control my IR mini-split. It’s been working decently, but I’ve heard amazing things about the Ecobee thermostat. My question is: Has anyone successfully integrated an Ecobee thermostat with a Flair puck to control an IR mini-split directly without needing to adjust the temperature settings in either app? I’m really curious about the seamless experience Ecobee promises and would love to hear from those who’ve made it work!
On another note, I’ve also been exploring the Wyze thermostat for a dual heating system setup. I have a 2-stage heat pump linked with an auxiliary gas furnace. Despite multiple resets and correct wiring connections, I’m struggling to get the heat pump to engage during heating modes. It consistently defaults to the gas furnace. Has anyone encountered this issue or have tips on troubleshooting?
