On another note, I’ve been working on setting up a smart lighting system with motion sensors. My goal is to have the lights dim automatically after a period of inactivity and then brighten again when motion is detected. I’ve managed to get the basics working with an automation script, but I’m running into an issue where the timer doesn’t reset if the room remains occupied for longer than 15 minutes. The Aeotec multisensor is supposed to reset the timer, but it doesn’t seem to trigger the automation correctly. I’m wondering if there’s a better way to handle the timer reset or if there’s a different approach altogether that I should consider.
Another project I’ve been tinkering with is creating a “red zone light” that activates when my favorite football team, the Patriots, are in the red zone during a game.
