Exploring Fibaro Swipe and Vera Plus Integration

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! One device that caught my attention is the Fibaro Swipe. After reading a fantastic review on a French site, I was intrigued by its sleek design and gesture-based control. The idea of placing it under a table and controlling my home with simple swipes sounded futuristic and incredibly convenient.

I reached out to Fibaro, and they mentioned that their system is open to other Z-Wave sellers, which is great news for compatibility. I’m hoping Vera will support this device fully soon, as it would be a fantastic addition to my setup. The Swipe’s ability to integrate seamlessly with other Z-Wave devices is something I’m really looking forward to.

Another topic I’ve been exploring is setting up Vera 3 as a secondary controller. I’ve always been a bit nervous about relying solely on one controller, so having Vera 3 as a backup feels like a smart move. I’m curious if there’s a straightforward way to switch Vera 3 back to being the primary controller if needed. I’m assuming it retains the network knowledge, but I’d love to hear from anyone who’s done this before.

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with my Vera Plus and UI5. I recently tried adding a BL-C230A camera, but it hasn’t been working as smoothly as I hoped. While it functions fine with the Panasonic software, Vera isn’t displaying images. I’ve tried the manual setup option in UI5, but no luck yet. I’m hopeful that with some tweaking, I’ll get it up and running soon.

Overall, the journey into smart home automation is filled with both challenges and triumphs. Each new device and feature adds a layer of convenience and control that’s hard to ignore. I’m excited to see how my setup evolves and how I can continue to integrate new technologies seamlessly. If anyone has tips or experiences to share, especially regarding Fibaro Swipe or Vera 3 setups, I’d love to hear them!

Cheers to the ever-growing world of smart homes! :star2:
