Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the GLEDOPTO ZigBee controller and see if anyone else has encountered similar issues. I recently purchased the GLEDOPTO controller to integrate my GIDEALED LED strips into my Hubitat ecosystem. Initially, everything seemed to work smoothly—the lights were recognized, and the setup process was straightforward. However, I noticed an issue with the color accuracy. Instead of the vibrant colors I expected, I was only getting red, green, and yellow. This was a bit disappointing, especially since I had previously used the Magic Home app with great success.
I started by checking if I had the correct driver installed for the controller. I was using the Generic ZigBee RGBW Light driver, but I wondered if there was a different driver that might resolve the color issue. I did some research and found a few forums where others had similar experiences. Some suggested trying alternative drivers, while others recommended adjusting the color settings within the Hubitat app. Unfortunately, none of these solutions worked for me.
I also reached out to the community for advice. Someone mentioned that they had success with a different driver, specifically the Magic Home driver by Adam Kempenich. I decided to give it a try, and while it didn’t solve the color issue, it did provide some additional functionality that I appreciated.
I’m still a bit puzzled about why the colors aren’t displaying correctly. I’m wondering if it’s a compatibility issue with the LED strips themselves or if there’s a specific configuration step I’m missing. If anyone has any insights or tips, I’d love to hear them! In the meantime, I’m exploring other options and looking forward to finding a solution that works seamlessly with my setup.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to share their knowledge and experiences. It’s communities like this that make the journey of integrating smart devices so rewarding!
Best regards,
