I’ve recently started using the Google TV Streamer in the UK, and overall, I’m really enjoying it! One of the best features for me has been the integration with BBC iPlayer, which now appears directly on the box. This makes accessing my favorite UK shows so much easier and more seamless.
However, there are a couple of things that I find a bit frustrating. For instance, the ‘Continue Watching’ feature only shows content from platforms like Discovery and Freevee, but none of the UK-based broadcasters appear there. It would be fantastic if this could be expanded to include more UK-specific content. Additionally, the channels button, which shows BBC1 and other channels, seems a bit underutilized. Currently, it just displays static channel names without any indication of what’s currently airing. It would be great if these buttons could show live updates or direct me to what’s on right now, without having to dive into each streaming app separately.
I’m really hopeful that these features will be improved in future updates. In the meantime, I’m still enjoying the overall experience and the convenience it brings to my TV viewing routine. If anyone has any tips or workarounds for these issues, I’d love to hear them!
