Exploring Govee and OpenCV Integration for Smart Lighting

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I wanted to share my recent project with you all. I recently picked up a Govee RGBIC strip and paired it with a Shelly Plus 1 to create a dynamic lighting setup. The integration with OpenCV has been a game-changer for me, allowing me to automate lighting based on motion detection and facial recognition.

I stumbled upon this idea while trying to solve a problem with my outdoor lighting. I wanted something that could adapt to my presence without being too intrusive. After some research and a bit of trial and error, I managed to set up a system where the lights dim when I’m away and brighten as I approach. It’s been a fantastic learning experience, and I’m so grateful to the community for all the resources and support.

If anyone has questions or suggestions on improving this setup, I’d love to hear them! Happy tinkering! :rocket:
