Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with Govee and Shelly products and also ask for some advice on a lighting control issue I’m facing.
First, I recently purchased a Govee Aura for my mother and sister during my trip to the UK. It’s been a great addition to their homes, and my sister has even started using the Govee app. The setup was straightforward, and the app’s interface is user-friendly. I’m really impressed with the variety of lighting effects it offers, making it a versatile addition to any room.
On the other hand, I’ve been experimenting with a Shelly Mini PM temperature sensor. After installing it and connecting it to a steady 100W load, I noticed something unusual. The internal temperature sensor reports a temperature spike approximately every 3 hours. This is concerning because the load is consistent and shouldn’t cause such fluctuations. I’m wondering if this is a common issue or if it might indicate a problem with the sensor. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
Now, moving on to my main question. I’m trying to set up my lights so that they remain on during specific evening hours (from 7 PM to 11 PM) and only respond to motion during the rest of the day. I’ve attempted using a weekly schedule in the Shelly app, but the lights still turn off after 5 minutes due to the Auto Off timer. Is there a way to deactivate the Auto Off timer during these specific hours? I’d really appreciate any tips or workarounds for this.
Overall, I’m thoroughly enjoying the flexibility and creativity these devices bring to my home, but I’m eager to find solutions to these minor issues. Thanks in advance for your insights and suggestions!
