Exploring Govee Diffuser Controls and Node-RED Integration

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. I recently purchased a Govee diffuser, and while it’s been a great addition to my home, I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to customize the light intensity and aroma settings directly through the Google Home app. Has anyone had success with this? I’d love to hear your tips or workarounds!

On another note, I’ve been trying to get Node-RED up and running on my Home Assistant setup. I installed it on a QNAP NAS as a VM, but I’m hitting a snag where Node-RED won’t start. From what I’ve read, it might be related to SSL configuration or certificate issues. I’ve tried tweaking the config file, but I’m still not quite there. If anyone has a step-by-step guide or troubleshooting tips, I’d really appreciate it!

I also came across an interesting project where someone combined Vera and Smartthings to manage their Zigbee lighting setup. It sounds like a clever workaround for unsupported devices, and I’m curious to learn more about how they integrated the two systems. Have any of you tried something similar or have advice on getting started with WebCore scenes?

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with creating custom scenes using the template sensor in Home Assistant. It’s been a bit challenging, especially with understanding the level_template and value_template. I managed to set up a system where one Yeelight mode handles low brightness (night mode) and another takes over for higher brightness, but I’m still tweaking the automation to ensure smooth transitions. If anyone has tips or examples of similar setups, I’d be grateful!

I’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and any advice you might have. Let’s keep the discussion going and learn from each other’s journeys in smart home automation!
