Exploring Govee Lights and HA Customizations

Hey everyone! I wanted to share some of my recent experiences with Govee lights and customizing Home Assistant (HA). First off, I’ve been absolutely blown away by the Govee Festival of Lights collection. The vibrant colors and smooth transitions are perfect for creating a festive atmosphere in my home. I recently replaced some older string lights with the Govee 50-foot permanent lights, and the difference is night and day! They’re not only more reliable but also much easier to control via my smartphone app.

On the HA front, I’ve been diving into customizations to make my setup more user-friendly. One thing I’ve been experimenting with is creating a custom input number card with arrows instead of a slider for adjusting values. It’s a small tweak, but it makes navigating settings much smoother. I’ve also been exploring how to integrate more devices into my ecosystem, like the Wyze bulbs I have grouped in my hallways. I noticed that Google Home only controls three out of four bulbs in a group, which is a bit puzzling. I’m curious if there’s a limit to how many bulbs can be grouped or if there’s a workaround to include all four.

Another area I’ve been focusing on is automations. I’ve set up a few routines using webCoRE pistons to handle scenarios like turning on lights when motion is detected or adjusting the thermostat based on the time of day. It’s been a learning curve, but seeing everything come together is incredibly rewarding.

I’d love to hear from others about their experiences with Govee products or any tips they have for HA customizations. Whether it’s troubleshooting a specific issue or sharing a clever automation idea, I’m all ears! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most out of our smart homes. :star2:
