One of the standout features of Govee lights is their ability to be scheduled based on sunset times, which is incredibly convenient. However, I’ve noticed that the areas of my house that tend to get darker earlier than expected don’t always align perfectly with the sunset-based scheduling. This has led me to wonder if there’s a way to have the lights come on 15-30 minutes before sunset, providing a smoother transition into the evening without the need for manual adjustments. I’ve also been experimenting with the idea of adding a dimming effect to the on/off cycle, perhaps a 5-15 minute fade, to make the lighting changes even more seamless and pleasant.
While I’ve swapped out some LIFX bulbs for Govee ones, I do miss the flexibility that LIFX offered in terms of timing options. That said, I’m excited to explore the possibilities that Govee lights present and how they can be integrated more effectively into my smart home setup. I’m also curious to hear from others who might have found innovative solutions or workarounds for similar challenges.
