Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experiences with Govee products and some challenges I’ve encountered along the way. First off, I’ve been really impressed with Govee’s Stainless Steel Fidget Spinners. They’re built like mini tanks, spinning for minutes without a sound. It’s amazing how such a simple device can help with focus and stress relief. I’ve even made some videos showing their durability and spin time—definitely worth a look if you’re into these kinds of gadgets!
On the other hand, I’ve been dealing with an odd issue with my motion sensor. It works perfectly for a while, but then starts turning off lights randomly. The logs show it’s being triggered by a physical switch, which isn’t the case. I’ve tried resetting the sensor and checking the automation rules, but nothing seems to fix it. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Another thing I’ve been curious about is the latest Home Assistant version. I’m wondering if 0.54.0 has been released for HASS.IO yet. I really enjoy keeping my setup updated to benefit from new features and improvements. If anyone has any insights on this, please let me know!
Lastly, I’ve been exploring the integration of SmartThings with my Vera system. I purchased a SmartThings Controller to handle presence detection, which has been a hit-and-miss with Tasker on Android. I’ve managed to set up an app that triggers virtual switches on Vera when presence changes are detected. It’s been a fun project, but I’m still tweaking the notifications and automation rules. If anyone has similar setups or advice, I’d love to hear about them!
Overall, my journey with smart home tech has been a mix of excitement and challenges. I’m always eager to learn more and improve my setup. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to your thoughts and experiences!
