Exploring Matter Device Compatibility with Apple Home
As a new user of Matter devices, I’ve been curious about how seamlessly they integrate with Apple Home. I recently set up a smart lock, and while it works perfectly when powered on, I noticed an issue when the device was powered off. If the lock’s status changes while it’s off, there seems to be a mismatch between the lock and the Apple Hub. This has occasionally caused confusion when I try to check the lock status upon powering it back on.
I’ve reached out to the community to see if others have encountered this and if there’s a solution. It would be fantastic if there was a way to immediately update the lock status upon powering on, ensuring consistency between the device and the hub. This would definitely enhance the user experience!
