Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and sensors lately, and I’m excited to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. ![]()
First off, I recently purchased some Nanoleaf Essentials A19 bulbs, and I was really looking forward to using their Adaptive Lighting feature. However, I’ve noticed that this option doesn’t appear in HomeKit, and when I checked the Nanoleaf app, the Circadian Lighting feature isn’t doing anything either. It stays on the same color setting and doesn’t adjust throughout the day. I’m wondering if I’m missing something here—maybe a firmware update or a specific setup step? All my bulbs are on the latest Matter over WiFi firmware, so I’m a bit puzzled.
On another note, I’ve been trying to pair some Aqara temperature sensors with my Sonoff Zigbee coordinator, but I’m running into some issues. I’ve followed all the standard steps—replacing batteries, resetting the sensors, and ensuring they’re close to the coordinator—but they just don’t seem to connect. I’ve heard great things about Aqara devices, so I’m hoping there’s a workaround or a setting I might have missed. Any advice would be super helpful!
Lastly, I’ve been exploring the SmartThings platform and came across the multipurpose contact sensors. They seem perfect for my needs, but I’ve run into a snag when trying to use them with Alexa routines. The sensors show up in the Alexa app, but when I try to include them in a routine, Alexa says they’re not supported. I’m really hoping to set up a notification when my door opens, so any insights into this issue would be amazing!
I’ve spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting these issues, checking documentation, and searching forums, but I’m still hitting walls. I’m really looking forward to hearing from the community—maybe someone has encountered similar problems or has a clever solution. Thanks in advance for your help and insights! ![]()
