Hello everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with the new restart options in Home Assistant. As some of you might have noticed, there are now additional choices when restarting the system. I found this feature particularly useful during my recent upgrade, where I wanted to ensure everything ran smoothly after updating my integrations.
Initially, I was a bit confused about which option to choose. After a bit of research and experimentation, I discovered that selecting the ‘Full Restart’ option was the best choice for my setup. It not only restarted the system but also refreshed all my integrations, which helped resolve a minor issue I was having with my Zigbee devices.
I also appreciate the ‘Clean Start’ option, which is great for troubleshooting. It essentially starts Home Assistant with a clean slate, which can be really helpful if you’re experiencing unexpected behavior. I used this once when I was having trouble with my automations after adding a new device.
One thing I found particularly helpful was the guidance in the official documentation, which explained each restart option in detail. It’s always reassuring to know there’s a community and resources to turn to when exploring new features.
