Exploring Nuki 2.0 API and GE Switch Integration

Hey everyone, I’m really excited to dive into the latest updates with my Nuki 2.0 smart lock and explore some integration possibilities with my GE smart switch. First off, I wanted to say a huge thank you to the Nuki team for the incredible work they’ve done with the Bluetooth API documentation. It’s been a fantastic resource as I develop my Node.js SDK to interact with Nuki devices. I’m curious if anyone else has noticed any changes in the API version with the latest firmware update, especially regarding the new door sensor functionality. Has the documentation been updated to reflect these changes? If not, how have others managed to read the door sensor status using the existing commands? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips!

On another note, I recently picked up a GE/Jasco in-wall switch (model 45856GE) and paired it with my SmartThings hub. The setup was smooth, but I’ve encountered an issue where the switch doesn’t report the correct status consistently. It shows OFF when it’s actually ON, which is pretty frustrating. I’ve tried tweaking the device type in the SmartThings app, switching between different Zigbee profiles, and even using a community-built template. The GE bulb template works best for status updates, but the problem resurfaces when the dashboard refreshes. I’m wondering if there’s a workaround or a setting I’m missing that could resolve this. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of integrating these devices into my smart home ecosystem. It’s amazing how these tools can enhance convenience and security. I’m looking forward to hearing from the community and learning more about others’ experiences and solutions. Thanks for being such a supportive and knowledgeable group!
