Exploring Nuki 4.0 Pro and Its Integration with Hue

Hi everyone! I’ve been really curious about the Nuki 4.0 and 4.0 Pro, especially since I’m looking to upgrade my smart home setup. I’ve been using a traditional lock system for years, but the idea of remote access and integration with my existing smart devices is super appealing.

First, I want to understand the key differences between the Nuki 4.0 and the Pro version. From what I gather, the Pro version offers additional features like remote unlocking even when I’m away from home. That’s a big plus for me, especially when I have guests or need to let someone in while I’m out. But I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra cost. Has anyone here made the switch to the Pro version? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Another thing I’m exploring is whether I can use my existing Hue bridge with Nuki. I’ve invested quite a bit in Philips Hue products, and I’d hate to have to buy a separate bridge just for Nuki. I’ve read some mixed reviews online, so I’m hoping the community can shed some light on this. Does the Nuki Pro work seamlessly with the Hue bridge, or should I consider alternative options like Google Nest? I’m really hoping to keep my ecosystem unified!

On a lighter note, I’ve been brainstorming some cool scenarios where Nuki could really shine. Imagine being able to unlock your door with a voice command while you’re still holding groceries or a coffee in both hands. That would be such a convenient feature! I’m also thinking about integrating Nuki with my existing security system. Maybe setting up a rule where the lights turn on automatically when I unlock the door in the evening. It would give me a nice warm welcome and add an extra layer of security.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with Nuki, especially regarding integration with other smart home devices. Any tips, tricks, or lessons learned would be invaluable as I take this next step in my smart home journey. Thanks in advance for your insights and advice! :raised_hands:
