Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of home automation and have been using Domoticz with RFLink for my lighting and temperature sensors. It’s been working like a charm, but I’ve heard great things about OpenHAB and want to see how it integrates with what I already have.
I’ve got a Raspberry Pi running everything, and I’m curious if I can sync Domoticz with OpenHAB using MQTT. The idea of having Google Home integration through OpenHAB is really appealing, but I’m not entirely sure how to set this up. Has anyone here successfully done this before?
I’ve read a bit about MQTT brokers and message topics, but I’m still a bit fuzzy on the specifics. For example, do I need a separate broker, or can I use the one already running with Domoticz? Also, how do I ensure that both systems are communicating without conflicts?
