Exploring Philips Hue Color Cycling and Strobe Effects

Hey everyone, I’ve been really enjoying my Philips Hue lights lately, but I’ve been trying to push them a bit further with some fun effects. I came across this idea of creating a color cycling effect with a strobe or flash effect, specifically between red and blue. It’s for an alarm system, and the goal is to make the light change colors while also flashing to confuse any intruder. Sounds pretty cool, right?

I’ve tried setting up flows to switch between red and blue, but it just doesn’t give me that dynamic, strobe-like effect I’m looking for. I wonder if there’s a way to tweak the settings or maybe use some advanced automation rules to achieve this. I’ve heard about using scenes and transitions, but I’m not entirely sure how to layer the strobe effect on top of the color changes.

If anyone has experience with this or knows of any creative workarounds, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Maybe there’s a way to combine different effects or even use third-party integrations. I’m excited to see what the community comes up with for this one. Let’s brainstorm together!
