Exploring Philips Hue Lightstrip on a Large TV

Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my recent project and experiences with the Philips Hue Lightstrip! :star2: I’ve been wanting to backlight my LG 86-inch TV for a while now, and after some research, I decided to go with the Philips Hue Gradient TV Lightstrip. However, I noticed that the official specs mention it supports up to 75-inch TVs, which made me a bit hesitant since my TV is much larger. I came across some videos of people successfully installing it on an 85-inch TV, so I thought, why not give it a try? The installation process was pretty straightforward—just peel and stick. The lightstrip is flexible enough to wrap around the TV’s edges, and the color accuracy is stunning! The integration with my existing Philips Hue system was seamless, and I love how I can control the lighting effects directly from the Hue app. One thing I discovered is that while the official specs say 75 inches, the lightstrip works perfectly fine on larger screens. The key is to space it evenly and ensure it’s not too close to the edges, which might cause uneven lighting. I also experimented with different color temperatures and found that a warm white setting complements the TV’s display beautifully. If you’re considering this for a larger TV, my advice is to go for it! Just make sure to test the placement and adjust the settings to your liking. The end result is worth it—my living room now has this amazing cinematic feel! :clapper::sparkles: Any other Hue users out there with large TVs? I’d love to hear your setups and tips!
