Hi everyone, I’ve been using Home Assistant for about three months now, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey! One of the features I’ve been most impressed with is the security aspect. However, I’ve kept my HA system offline for security reasons, which means I can’t use the Companion app to track whether I’m home or not. This has led me to explore alternative methods, and I came across the idea of using my router to detect connected devices as a way to infer presence.
I have a Zyxel VMG8823-B50B router, but neither the Thomson nor Keenetic integrations seem to work for me. I’ve been researching and found that there might be other integrations I can try, but I’m not entirely sure how to proceed. I’m also curious about how difficult it would be to implement a custom integration for my router.
If anyone has experience with this or can point me toward some resources or forums where I might find more information, I’d be incredibly grateful.
