Exploring Raspberry Pi and Google Home Integration

Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of Raspberry Pi and Google Home integration, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and insights. I’ve recently set up a Raspberry Pi to run both a Pi Hole and a local WebCoRE server, and I’m curious about whether I can also run Home Assistant (HA) alongside WebCoRE on the same Pi. I know the Pi can get a bit warm, especially with the Pi Hole, but I’m wondering if it’s feasible to consolidate everything or if I need separate devices for each service.

Another topic I’ve been exploring is the occasional offline issue with my Google Home audio groups. I’ve noticed that they sometimes stop responding to commands, and I’m looking for a more reliable solution than just pinging or restarting them. I’d love to hear if anyone has encountered similar issues and how they resolved them.

On a lighter note, I came across the news about Logitech ending production of the Harmony product line, which is quite sad for many of us who rely on these devices. I’ve joined the petition to ask Logitech to provide a clear path forward for existing users, and I encourage everyone to do the same if they haven’t already.

Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with Alexa Routines to disable other routines, which has made my automations more reliable. It’s fascinating to see how these integrations can work together to create a seamless smart home experience.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences with these topics! Whether you’re a Raspberry Pi enthusiast, a Google Home user, or someone who’s worked with Alexa Routines, your insights are always valuable. Let’s keep the discussion going!
