Hi everyone, I’ve been using the Samsung SmartCam for a while now, and I’m really happy with it. The camera quality is great, and the mobile app is user-friendly. However, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t integrate with my SmartThings hub, which is something I might want in the future. I’m curious if others have experienced the same and if integrating with SmartThings is worth the potential hassle of managing multiple apps on my phone.
I’m thinking about expanding my setup with a couple more cameras, but I’m trying to avoid cluttering my phone with too many apps. If I go with more Samsung SmartCams, I can stick with the app I know, but I wonder if there are benefits to having cameras that work with SmartThings. Maybe better automation or integration with other smart devices? I’m not sure yet.
Another thing I’m considering is the cost. At $200 each, it adds up quickly. I’d love to hear if anyone has recommendations on how to balance functionality and cost. Maybe there’s a way to mix and match devices without breaking the bank.
I’m also curious about others’ experiences with camera integration. Have you noticed any significant advantages with SmartThings? Or have you found that sticking with a single brand’s ecosystem works better for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
