Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart cameras lately, and I thought I’d share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. 
Earlier this year, I decided to upgrade my home security setup by replacing my Nest cameras with non-subscription-based models. After some research, I came across the TP-Link Tapo Indoor/Outdoor 2K Battery-Powered Camera, which seemed like a great alternative. However, I was curious if it could integrate seamlessly with Blue Iris for a live view on my Habitat dashboard. While I couldn’t find a direct integration, I discovered that using the Blue Iris API allowed me to access live feeds and set up custom alerts. It was a bit of a workaround, but it worked perfectly! 
Another thing I’ve been exploring is customizing device names in my smart home setup. I noticed that the default names often reflected the profiles used during setup, which didn’t always make sense for my specific use case. After some digging, I found that updating the device name in the IDE or CLI could be done through specific commands. It’s a small tweak, but it makes my setup feel more personalized and organized.
