Exploring Smart Camera Mounting Solutions

Hey everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate smart cameras into my home security setup, and I wanted to share my experiences and ask for advice. I recently purchased a V2 camera and have been trying to mount it on a window that doesn’t have a ledge. The challenge is finding a reliable way to stick it to the glass without it falling off after a short period. I’ve tried several double-sided tapes, but most didn’t work well. The 3M outdoor tape lasted about a week, which isn’t ideal for long-term use.

I’m curious if anyone has found a better solution for mounting cameras on glass surfaces. Are there specific types of adhesive or mounting brackets that work well in such scenarios? I’d also love to hear about any creative hacks or methods people have used to secure their cameras.

Additionally, I’ve been thinking about the broader topic of camera placement and how it affects security. For example, I live in an apartment building with HOA rules that prevent external mounting, so I’m limited to indoor solutions. I’d appreciate any tips on optimizing camera placement within these constraints.

This project has been a fun challenge, and I’m excited to see how others have tackled similar issues. Let’s share ideas and experiences to help each other out! :rocket:
