Hello fellow smart home enthusiasts!
I’ve been diving into the world of home automation lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all.
First off, I’ve been experimenting with setting up some Wyze cameras around my home. They’ve been a fantastic addition for keeping an eye on things, but I’ve run into a bit of a snag. The base station and camera pair successfully, but when I try to view the live feed in the app, it just endlessly loads without actually showing anything. I’ve tried everything from resetting the devices to reinstalling the app, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone encountered this issue before? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
On another note, I’ve been exploring the System Monitor integration in Home Assistant. It’s been really helpful for keeping track of my system’s health, but I’m a bit puzzled by the memory usage metrics. The integration reports 13.8% memory use, but when I add up the container usage, it comes out to 27.6%. I’m curious to understand what exactly this integration is measuring. Is there a way to get a more accurate picture of memory usage? ![]()
Lastly, I’ve been working on a fun DIY project—setting up some LED strips in my gaming setup. It’s been a great way to customize my space, but I’m wondering if anyone has tips on optimizing their LED setups for better performance or energy efficiency. Any advice or experiences to share would be awesome! ![]()
