On a more positive note, I’ve had some success with integrating my Schlage FE595 Lockset using the SmartThings app. Initially, I kept getting an error when trying to add a user code, but turning off my phone’s Wi-Fi and moving closer to the lock solved the problem. It’s great to see how these devices can work together once the right adjustments are made!
I’m also working on setting up some automated scenes, like turning on my office lights when I arrive home on workdays. I found some code snippets for detecting presence, but I’m curious if there’s a way to identify specific individuals rather than just detecting if someone is home. Any tips or resources would be appreciated!
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with Node.js and JSRule for more complex automation tasks. It’s been a bit challenging, but I’m excited to see how I can optimize my setup for better performance.
