Currently, I rely on manually setting my house to away mode, but I often forget, especially when I’m rushing out the door. I’ve tried using Rule Machine, but it seems a bit overwhelming for my current skill level. I’m wondering if there’s a simpler way to automatically detect if someone is home or not and trigger away mode accordingly.
I’ve also noticed that my Nest thermostats and Protects work well in away mode, but I’d love to integrate my door locks and switches into this system too. Is there a smart app or feature that can monitor these devices and put the house into away mode automatically?
