I’ve recently taken the plunge into the world of smart home automation by replacing all of my solar shades with the Bali Autoview z-wave shades. The integration with Vera has been a fascinating journey, though not without its bumps along the way. One thing that’s been particularly intriguing is the behavior of the battery indicators on my AC-powered shades. Despite being hardwired, they still show battery levels, mirroring their remote controls rather than reflecting their constant power supply. I’m curious if others have encountered this and if there’s a workaround to disable these indicators for a cleaner interface.
On the positive side, the battery-powered shades are performing admirably, providing accurate battery level readings. It’s a small detail, but it adds to the overall satisfaction of a smoothly functioning smart home setup. I’d love to hear from the community on how they’ve managed similar configurations or if there’s a tweak I’m missing to optimize this further. Happy automating everyone! ![]()
