Exploring Smart Home Automation with Fibaro and Wyze

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. I’ve been using Fibaro products for a while now, and while I love their reliability, I’ve been struggling with setting up a proper alarm panel. I’ve been using LUA scripts to manage the alarm status, but the PIN-based disarming feature isn’t working as expected. Does anyone have any tips or scripts that could help me get this sorted out? I’d really appreciate it!

On a different note, I’ve recently started experimenting with Wyze cameras and I’m absolutely thrilled with their performance. I’ve been using them to monitor my backyard, and the motion detection feature has been spot on. However, I’ve been wondering if it’s possible to carry the keypad around and still have it work when I’m away from the house. It would be perfect for when I’m traveling or just want to have it handy without mounting it. Has anyone tried something like this before?

Another thing I’ve been curious about is integrating Shelly devices with Homey. I’ve heard great things about Homey’s ability to work with a wide range of devices, and I’m really interested in creating more complex scenes. For example, I’d love to set up a scene where my lights dim slightly when I come home with the baby, creating a calm environment for him to sleep. I’m also thinking about using motion sensors to automate my bathroom lights and maybe even integrate some music to make my mornings a bit more enjoyable. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear your setups and tips!

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the idea of using Google Assistant with my smart home setup. I’ve read about the Touch ID authentication feature in iOS 8 and I’m curious if anyone has used this to enhance their home security. Maybe using fingerprints to unlock doors or disarm alarms could add an extra layer of security. It would be great to hear your thoughts on this!

Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of customizing my smart home, but there’s always more to learn and discover. I’m looking forward to hearing from all of you and hopefully picking up some new ideas along the way. Thanks for being such an amazing community!
