As I dive deeper into the world of smart home automation, I’ve been exploring how to integrate various devices and services seamlessly. One of the most powerful tools I’ve come across is Node-RED, which allows me to create custom workflows and automations. However, I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to edit Node-RED flows directly on my mobile device, especially when I have a few spare minutes, like during my daily commute or even while relaxing on the couch.
I stumbled upon an app called Node-RED Client Editor on Google Play, which initially seemed promising. Unfortunately, I ran into some login issues when trying to access my Home Assistant setup. It kept refreshing the page endlessly, which was quite frustrating. I managed to authenticate by setting the admin page as my Home Assistant homepage, but I’m still not sure if this app is the best solution for my needs. Does anyone have a better recommendation or tips on how to make this work smoothly?
On another note, I’ve been using Alexa in my kids’ rooms to play sleep sounds, which has been a lifesaver. However, I noticed that Alexa turns off the sleep sounds after bedtime, which isn’t ideal since I want the sounds to continue until my kids fall asleep. I set up Amazon Kids with a time limit to restrict Alexa usage, but now it’s cutting off the sleep sounds too early. Is there a workaround to keep the sleep sounds playing while still limiting Alexa interactions?
I’d love to hear from others who’ve tackled similar challenges or have creative solutions to these problems. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most out of our smart home setups!
