Exploring Smart Home Automation with nRF5340 DK

I recently dove into the world of smart home automation with the nRF5340 DK, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! :rocket: I successfully set up a CIS mode using my nRF5340 DKs, enabling stereo sound while the microphone is active. It’s amazing how technology can bring such seamless integration to our daily lives. However, I encountered a few hurdles along the way, and I’m hoping the community can shed some light on these issues.

First off, I noticed that the recorded microphone signal plays back faster than it was recorded. It’s a bit disorienting, and I’m curious if others have faced this or if there’s a tweak to fix it. Additionally, the input signal quality is poor with an analog microphone, but it improves significantly with a digital one. I’m wondering if there’s a workaround to enhance the analog mic’s performance without switching to a digital setup.

Another challenge I faced was when using the microphone and playing audio through the headset simultaneously. The recorded sound was barely audible, which is a letdown for someone who enjoys hands-free interactions. Lastly, occasional disconnections between the DKs led to a complete loss of audio, which was quite frustrating. I’m hoping to find a solution or at least understand the root cause better.

Despite these challenges, I’m thoroughly enjoying experimenting with the nRF5340 DK. It’s a powerful tool for anyone looking to explore the depths of smart home automation. If anyone has insights or tips on resolving these issues, I’d be more than grateful to hear them!

Let’s keep the discussion going and help each other overcome these hurdles. Happy tinkering! :bulb:
