Exploring Smart Home Automation with Nuki and Sonoff

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! :rocket: I recently came across the Nuki smart lock system, and while it’s impressive, I’ve been trying to figure out how to integrate it seamlessly into my setup without relying too much on cloud services. I live on the third floor, and the main door’s Bluetooth range is a bit limited, so I was wondering if there’s a way to extend the Bluetooth signal using a Wi-Fi bridge or some open-source software. Maybe setting up an old smartphone as a key for my kids? That could be a fun DIY project! :bulb:

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with my Sonoff devices, particularly the PIR sensor. It’s been working great for notifications, but I’m running into an issue when trying to use it as a trigger for Alexa routines. The sensor shows up in the Alexa app, but it doesn’t appear when setting up a routine. Has anyone encountered this before? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’d also love to hear about others’ experiences with smart home automation. What are your favorite devices or hacks? Let’s share and learn together! :star2:
