Exploring Smart Home Devices: Arlo Pro, Wyze Cams, and More

Hi everyone, I’m new to the world of smart home devices and I’m really excited to dive into this. I’ve been researching different devices and trying to figure out which ones would work best for my setup. I came across the Arlo Pro cameras and I’m really impressed with their features. I purchased an iPad and it won’t connect to the system. I guess I’ve reached a limit. How can I delete the old device so I can add the new one? Thanks for any advice!

Another device I’m interested in is the Wyze Cam Pan. I’ve heard great things about it, but I’m a bit concerned after reading about some issues with firmware updates causing problems. I smelled smoke yesterday and was surprised when it was coming from my Wyze Cam Pan. The device functioned fine before, had a firmware update the day before it caught fire. Burned my cabinetry too. Still haven’t heard back from the company about this. Anyone else have anything similar happen? It burned where the power cable connects to the swiveling base. Maybe another firmware update will restore it back to a working state? Lol

I also came across the Shelly 2.5 and I’m really curious about its capabilities. I have a Shelly 2.5 for rolladensteuerung. It works, but I have this issue where it restarts every 10-30 seconds. I can’t figure out why. I’ve checked the power settings and everything seems fine. Is there something I’m missing in the configuration? Any ideas would be appreciated!

I’m also looking into integrating multiple devices and sensors. I have some Aqara sensors and I’m wondering if I need additional bridges or if they can work directly with my current setup. I’ve heard great things about the Homey Pro 2023. Can I remove the existing bridges and gateways once I get it? I’m also considering adding a Somfy motor for my markise. Do I need the Somfy Connectivity Kit or can I control it directly through the Homey?

I’m really excited to learn more about all these devices and how to make them work together seamlessly. I look forward to hearing from everyone and connecting with the community!
