I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and it’s been an absolute journey of discovery! One of the most intriguing aspects I’ve encountered is the integration of EZO sensors, particularly the humidity sensor. I came across the EZO-HUM™ Embedded Humidity Sensor from Atlas Scientific and was immediately intrigued by its precision and potential applications in maintaining optimal environmental conditions.
The setup process with the EZO component in ESPHome was a breeze, thanks to the comprehensive documentation provided. I was especially impressed by how effortlessly it integrated with my existing smart home ecosystem. However, I did stumble upon a minor hiccup regarding compatibility with other EZO sensors beyond PH and RTD. After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that while the EZO component is primarily designed for PH and RTD, there are workarounds and community-developed solutions to extend its functionality to other sensors like the humidity one I’m using.
