Exploring Smart Home Integration with Shelly and Sengled

I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and insights. One of the devices I’ve been particularly impressed with is the Shelly Pro 3EM. I’ve been using it to monitor power consumption in my home, and it’s been a game-changer for keeping track of energy usage. The ability to integrate it seamlessly with Home Assistant has made my setup much more efficient. However, I’ve encountered a small hiccup while trying to use a 400A Wandler with the 120A version of the Shelly Pro 3EM. I’m curious if others have successfully used these together without running into issues with incorrect readings. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear about your setup and any tips you might have!

Another area I’ve been exploring is integrating Sengled remotes with the Echo Plus Zigbee hub. I’ve managed to set up most of my Sengled devices directly with the Echo Plus, but the remotes have been a bit tricky. They go through the setup process, but then they become unresponsive. I’ve tried resetting everything and reconfiguring, but the issue persists. If anyone has managed to get the Sengled remotes working smoothly with the Echo Plus, I’d be grateful for any advice or workarounds you’ve discovered.

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with creating custom automations. One project I’m particularly excited about is setting up a system where my sprinklers turn on automatically when my Unifi camera detects an animal in a specific zone. It’s a fun way to deter deer and keep my garden safe. I’d love to hear if others have similar automations or any creative ideas for using cameras and sprinklers together.

Overall, the journey into smart home integration has been both challenging and rewarding. Each new device or automation adds a layer of convenience and customization to my home. I’m looking forward to continuing this exploration and learning from the experiences of others in the community. If anyone has tips, tricks, or stories to share, I’d be happy to listen and learn!
