I’ve been diving into the world of smart home devices lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! Let me share some of my experiences and insights with you all.
Govee TV Light Bars 2: I recently set up the Govee TV Light Bars 2 behind my 50” TV, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results. The installation was a breeze—just connect the back, clip the mounts, and you’re good to go. The wall washing effect is stunning, and the ability to control everything via the Govee app is a huge plus. I’ve even considered mounting them elsewhere in the house, like behind my refrigerator or on my island. The flexibility is amazing!
Yale Keyless Connected Battery Issue: Speaking of flexibility, I’ve been dealing with an issue with my Yale Keyless Connected lock. The battery life has been terrible—only lasting about 3 days. I suspect it’s due to polling when the smart hub loses communication. I’ve temporarily removed the module to see if that helps, but it’s not a long-term solution. If anyone has advice on how to improve this, I’d be grateful!
Wyze Cam Floodlight Plug-In Mount: Another device I’ve been experimenting with is the Wyze Cam Floodlight Plug-In Mount. It’s a fantastic plug-and-play solution, especially for outdoor use. I love how easy it is to set up without needing a junction box. However, I’ve noticed some issues with sound recordings not recovering from the cloud, which is a bit concerning. Wyze, please keep working on these features!
Smart Lighting Modes: On a lighter note, I’ve been enjoying the different lighting modes on my Govee lights, especially the romantic and candle settings. They’ve completely transformed my evenings, making them feel more cozy and intimate. It’s amazing how a simple change in lighting can elevate the mood of a room.
I’d love to hear about your smart home setups and any tips or tricks you’ve discovered along the way. Let’s continue to explore and innovate together! ![]()
