I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and energy management lately, and I must say, it’s been an enlightening journey! 
One of the most exciting projects I’ve undertaken is integrating my home’s lighting system with a smart dimmer setup. I’ve noticed that dimmer 2 in my bedroom works perfectly via the app, but the wall switch has been a bit stubborn—refusing to turn off the light completely. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I’m determined to figure it out! 
On the energy management front, I’ve been exploring how to maximize self-consumption with my PV system and battery setup. While I’ve seen some great examples of energy monitoring with openHAB, I’m still searching for a robust solution for active energy control. If anyone has tips or experience with this, I’d love to hear them! 
Another interesting project I’ve been working on is customizing my home assistant’s UI. I’ve created a theme that uses CSS variables to make color changes a breeze, which has been a huge help for someone like me who’s still learning the ropes. It’s amazing how a little tweak can make the whole system feel more personalized and user-friendly. 
Lastly, I wanted to share a quick tip for anyone dealing with device integration issues. I recently encountered a problem with my Hue Essentials app freezing on a white screen. After some troubleshooting, I found that clearing the app’s cache and reinstalling it did the trick. Sometimes, a fresh start is all you need!
