I recently set up a system where my bathroom fan automatically turns on when the moisture level reaches a certain threshold, thanks to a DHT22 sensor connected to a Uni device. It’s been working like a charm, and I love how it helps maintain a comfortable environment without any manual intervention. However, I encountered a small hiccup when trying to override this system with a physical button. The fan would turn on briefly but then shut off almost immediately. After some troubleshooting, I realized the issue was with the timer settings in the HTTP commands. By adjusting the timer and ensuring the button input was correctly configured, I was able to override the moisture sensor successfully.
Another project I’ve been working on involves integrating Google Assistant with my smart home setup. While the initial setup was a breeze, I ran into some challenges when trying to link my account. The instructions I followed didn’t seem to work, and I ended up spending quite a bit of time searching for alternative solutions.
