Recently, I embarked on a DIY project to automate my home lighting using a combination of smart switches and sensors. My goal was to create a seamless experience where lights turn on when I enter a room and adjust their brightness based on natural light levels. I started by installing a set of smart dimmer switches and paired them with motion sensors.
The initial setup was straightforward, but I encountered a challenge when trying to fine-tune the dimming levels. I found that the default settings didn’t provide the smooth transition I was hoping for. After some research, I discovered that adjusting the dimming curve in the app and adding a small capacitor to the circuit significantly improved the performance.
